Unscripted: Vanessa Potkin and Confession

One night in 1994, Angel Gonzalez was -inadvertently- in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was accused of abduction and rape, crimes he did not commit. After 20 years behind bars he was finally exonerated earlier this year.

In this episode of Unscripted Silvia Viñas speaks with Vanessa Potkin of the Innocence Project about her work on Angel’s and other cases. The Innocence Project is a nonprofit association that works to exonerate inmates through DNA testing and has helped to free 177 innocent people since it was founded.

Music by Blue Dot Sessions and Adriana Krikl.
