Context

At Radio Ambulante Studios, we’ve spent years producing stories with care. With The Moment our weekly video podcast, we’re building something that depends on more than production: a system where stories move across platforms — audio, YouTube, and social — and reach audiences in different ways.

The Role

The Senior YouTube & Social Content Producer is responsible for turning each episode of The Moment into a complete set of platform-native content, from initial selection through publishing and iteration.

This is a high-output role that combines programming, packaging, and execution, where you will need to make decisions quickly and act on them without waiting for others.

This role combines editorial judgment with a deep understanding of how content performs on YouTube and across social platforms, and requires a nuanced understanding of U.S. politics

This role operates as a single-threaded content system. The expectation is not just strong output, but the ability to make and act on decisions quickly without handoffs.

You will work with the Executive Producer and Lead Producer to align on priorities and receive assets, but you will independently manage the content pipeline from episode to distribution.

What you’ll do

Programming & Content Creation

  • Participate in editorial meetings, watch interviews, and identify compelling moments for clips and short-form content
  • Determine what formats should be created from each episode within a consistent, repeatable framework
  • Produce a consistent set of 5–10 clips per episode across platforms
  • Edit content for clarity, pacing, and strong openings
  • Adjust tactics based on how the audience consumes our content

Packaging & Publishing

  • Write titles, descriptions, and metadata for all content
  • Create or adapt thumbnails as needed
  • Publish and schedule content across YouTube and social platforms
  • Ensure consistency in timing, presentation, and branding

Performance & Iteration

  • Monitor performance in real time (views, CTR, retention, engagement)
  • Identify underperforming content and adjust titles, thumbnails, and positioning
  • Track patterns in what drives engagement and apply learnings to future content

Workflow & Coordination

  • Work with the Lead Producer and Video Editor to receive finalized episode assets
  • Independently manage the content pipeline from episode → clips → publish
  • Flag any gaps or delays that impact content creation or publishing timelines
  • Manage multiple episodes and content streams simultaneously

What Matters

  • Each episode consistently produces a strong set of clips and supporting content
  • Content is published reliably and on time
  • Titles and thumbnails improve click-through and reach over time
  • Performance improves through consistent iteration
  • The system runs without bottlenecks or missed handoffs

Profile

  • 3–5 years’ experience creating, publishing, and analyzing video content as part of a larger editorial operation
  • Strong video editing skills
  • Deep familiarity with YouTube performance
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • High-volume production capability
  • Ownership mindset
  • Ability to work quickly and independently
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English)

Optional:
