Searching for her son, Pureza discovered that slavery is not a thing from the past.
When her son Abel left home in search of work without saying goodbye, Pureza immediately knew something was wrong. At that moment, she set out on foot to look for him in northeastern Brazil, with only one photo and one certainty: she wouldn’t stop until she found out what had happened to him.
