In February 2023, Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega offered over 200 political prisoners, including 23-year-old Samantha Jirón, a chance at freedom. But for Samantha and the others, this liberation was conditioned on a choice: they had to leave everything and everyone they loved behind, and board a plane without knowing its destination. What would she choose?
