Beneath The Tiles

An excavation into the past

Based on a piece of information he received almost by chance, Chilean artist Francisco Medina Donoso set out to find the remains of the Palacio de La Moneda, Chile’s presidential palace, bombed on September 11, 1973. This search, which Francisco undertook with a team of archeologists and artists, led him to question the limits of memory in Chile.
