In 2022, the Dominican Republic deported hundreds of pregnant Haitian women, a practice that had reportedly been curtailed following criticism by the government by the United Nations and other organizations. 

This investigation, produced with support from the Pulitzer Center, was originally published in El hilo, a podcast that every Friday puts into context the most relevant news events in Latin America.
