Like thousands of others, Mikael is a young Venezuelan who migrated to the United States in search of a better life. He was in the midst of the immigration process when men from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) knocked on his door. What he would experience in the months that followed would be unprecedented in the United States.
